Wake pierwszy raz pojawił się w odcinku Festiwal Croagunków. W tym odcinku Ash rzucił mu wyzwanie do walki jednak ten nie przyjął go, ponieważ odbywał się doroczny Festiwal Croagunków, gdzie on był jurorem. Po uratowaniu Croagunków przyjął wyzwanie Asha. Ich walka odbyła się w odcinku Siła Stalowej Pięści. Tę walkę wygrał Ash zdobywając w ten sposób Moczarową Odznakę. W odcinku Zespół G wkracza do akcji Paul mówił, że ma stoczyć bitwę o odznakę w Pastorii. Nie wiadomo czy ta walka się odbyła i kto ją wygrał. Pojawił się przez chwilę w retrospekcji w Zakochany Meowth!.
